When I filled out phase 1, I was a new customer with northwestel for their internet in Iqaluit. After about a year and a half of being their customer, I canceled my service as I thought I would be moving away. But the last 4 months of internet service was absolutely terrible, I currently use my cellphone for internet and I get a better download speed with cellular data than I did with their northwestels top internet package. Northwestel seems to put a priority on their customers in north bc, Yukon and the Northwest Territories and Nunavumiut seem to be left in the dust. If the federal government puts any more funding into internet in the north, they should give Qiniq the funding so that Inuit are not left with half-fast service. Bell needs to put more towers in Iqaluit. My cellphone will randomly disconnect from service multiple times throughout the day.
