Iristel should be given the fine for the pure fact that they are the cause of all the shady CRA fraud calls that have been happening around Canada. The company is fully aware that people have been receiving these calls, using iristel's service through one of their resellers. The people calling are from India. They are not in Canada. This is misuse of those transmission lines and the agreement they have with Telus. Iristel should be held responsible and be made to pay a fine greater than the 1.25 million that has been suggested. To be honest, they should be held liable for any losses Canadians have endured as a result of the CRA scams and all telemarketing scams used via their services. It's ridiculous that even when reporting this type of scam, they do nothing about it - because they are getting paid regardless.
